RAZZMATAZZ KINETIC TYPOGRAPHY
A kinetic typography project for college. I selected a song to animate lyrics for, drew up storyboards, constructed assets in Illustrator, and animated the final project in After Effects. This project challenged me to focus on the type as the "main character" of my animation, and pushed me to envision typography in motion.
PROCESS WORK
Process began with choosing a song and sketching out keyframes. I decided to go with the song "Razzmatazz" because the chorus lyrics provide a lot of detail that can be easily translated into interesting typographic visuals.
I took my sketched keyframes into Adobe Illustrator to begin building scenes to form the style and tone of the animation. Once those pieces were built, I was able to bring most of them into Adobe After Effects to animate them.
