RHINESTAHL OKTOBERFEST EVENT
A crest design for the annual Rhinestahl Oktoberfest celebration. I reviewed previous annual crest designs, sketched some ideas, transferred the sketches in Illustrator, considered whether a traditional or modern design would be best before settling on modern, updated crest iterations with the new branding and colors once Rhinestahl updated their branding, and compiled all of the process files for the next co-op who would finish designing the 2019 crest and placing it on marketing materials and collateral for the event.
PROCESS WORK
Sketches were first created with shield shapes and research was done on traditional German and Oktoberfest crest details.
Many different iterations were explored digitally in Adobe Illustrator. Rhinestahl had gone through a complete rebrand during this time, so the colors were changed about halfway through the process. Both traditional and modern designs were requested for this project.
I also began working on t-shirt designs for the Oktoberfest event using the newly rebranded colors.
I worked on this project for the entirety of my co-op term, and left the next co-op with my iterations, research, and ideas so they could complete the crest design the next month and work on marketing collateral for the Oktoberfest event.
